The Globex market, officially known as CME Globex, is an electronic trading platform operated by the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME).

Launched in 1992, Globex allows for the 24-hour trading of a wide range of financial instruments, including futures and options contracts on commodities, currencies, indices, and interest rates.

The overnight market is often referred to as “The Globex Session”. It runs from 4:30pm ET until the next morning at 9:30am, at which time regular trading hours (RTH session) resumes.
