Rangebound

« Back to Glossary Index

Rangebound is a term used in trading and technical analysis to describe a situation where the price of a security or financial instrument oscillates within a well-defined horizontal range, without forming any distinct trend upward or downward. In other words, the asset’s price is moving sideways between a defined support level (the lower boundary) and a resistance level (the upper boundary).
