Pullback

« Back to Glossary Index

A pullback refers to a short-term reversal in the price of an asset that goes against the prevailing trend.

In an uptrend, a pullback would be a temporary decline in price, while in a downtrend, it would be a temporary rise. Pullbacks are generally considered healthy for a trend and offer traders opportunities to enter or exit positions at more favorable prices.
