Cash

Being in “cash” or “cash position” means that an investor or trader has liquidated their positions in securities, stocks, bonds, or other assets and is holding the proceeds in cash or cash equivalents.

Essentially, it means that a significant portion of their portfolio is in a liquid state, ready to be deployed or invested, but currently not invested in the market. (See also Sidelines)
