A market order is an instruction to buy or sell an asset immediately at the current market price.
Unlike a limit order, where you specify the price at which you want to buy or sell, a market order prioritizes speed of execution over price.
This means the order will get filled as quickly as possible, but there’s no guarantee on the price you’ll get, especially in volatile or illiquid markets.
Market orders are commonly used when the trader wants to enter or exit a position quickly and is less concerned about slight variations in price.
